2017 SO WWG-Austria.

Test post.

Just a few days to go until until the entire SOUSA team are back together.  Training camp was 3 months ago and I think everyone is looking forward to being together again.  We have some long flights ahead: Madison to Detroit to DC, a big send off meal and party Sunday (March 12th) night, then the team starts 5 different departures from the US to Austria.  Some of us go directly to Vienna, others to Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfort and then Vienna.  From there, buses to our host town- (A German name I can't pronounce yet!) for a couple days, then finally to our home base near Schladming where the XC skiing will be competing.

It's the  world’s largest sports and humanitarian event in 2017 and takes place in Graz, Schladming, Ramsau, and Styria, Austria. The games will run from March 14th-25th.  Close to 2000 athletes from over 107 countries and over 3000 volunteers will pull make this event pretty special.

As these things go, time can be pretty hard to find at a World Games-I'll do my best to share any worthwhile experiences about the games and our athletes.
